Linda Kirby is President of KirbyWorks, Inc., which provides clients with leadership
development and training, project development and management services, and coaching.
Kirby was the founding CEO of Leadership Indianapolis, having been a significant part of
the development of that organization prior to being named CEO in 2013. At Leadership
Indianapolis, Kirby was focused on strategically, intentionally and continually building a
pipeline of diverse community leaders by training, educating, developing, inspiring and
engaging them to improve the Indianapolis community.
Prior to being named CEO for Leadership Indianapolis, Kirby served as the Program
Director for the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series® (SKL), and has held executive
positions with communications and event marketing companies in Indianapolis
representing clients including Simon Property Group, Indy Chamber, and Eli Lilly and
Company’s nationwide sponsorship of the LPGA. Kirby also served as Public Affairs
Director at WTHR-TV.
Kirby has experience in strategic planning, program development and implementation,
member recruitment and retention, fundraising, board development, organizational
leadership and more.
Kirby currently serves on the National Advisory Board for Ball State University’s Center for
Information and Communication Sciences, the Zoobilation Development Committee, and
is an active show choir parent for North Central High School’s Counterpoints. She has
served on numerous civic boards and committees, including Prevent Child Abuse Indiana,
for which she served as President of the Board for two years, Marion County Commission
on Youth, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Indiana, the Indiana State Museum and
